Prior to Your Surgery

 

DO NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING AFTER MIDNIGHT, the night prior to your surgery.  This includes GUM, 

TOBACCO AND ALCOHOL.  A SMALL SIP of WATER is permissible the morning of surgery to take your oral medications.  

 

Shower or bathe the morning of surgery.  No makeup should be worn on the day of surgery.  Wear loose comfortable clothing. Leave all jewelry and valuables at home.  

 

If anything changes in your health (including a cold) notify your doctor or NSC at the number listed above as your surgery may need to be rescheduled.

 

Bring your drivers license and insurance information.  Please be prepared to pay any deductible or co-insurance on the day of surgery.  NSC accepts cash, cashiers checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and Care Credit.  NSC will call you prior to the day of surgery to notify you of your insurance benefits estimate and your share of expenses.

 

YOU MUST HAVE A REASONABLE ADULT STAY WITH YOU DURING YOUR SURGERY, be with you to listen to your discharge instructions, drive you home from NSC, and stay with you throughout the evening of your surgery.
